SPIROU KONSTANTINOS
NTUA
Professor and Dean of NTUA’s School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering with specialization on the dynamic stability and safety of ships. Graduate of the same School he received his PhD from the University of Stratchclyde where he also served as a lecturer. He carried out post-doctoral studied at the NRIFE Laboratory in Japan and at UCL in England. He is the chairman of the international ship stability committee. He has the honorary title of visiting professor of the University of Strathclyde since 2003. He served as the Chairman of the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology for 8 years. He is a Fellow of the SNAME and RINA societies.
