Shipowner, Naval Architect of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). He received his PhD from the University of Aegean on “Freight Market Fluctuations”.

President of HELMEPA and member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Greek Shipowners. Mr. George A. Gratsos is also President of the Technical Committee of the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection.

He was President of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping
(period: 1996-2000 and from 2004 since February of 2016).
